The "I'd Rather Be Quilting" cookbook contains nearly 800 recipes, all sent in by quilters, many with personal comments. There is a large section of recipes from quilds in Australia as well as some from Canada & England. Large section of "celebrity" recipes sent in by Jinny Beyer, Doreen Speckman, John Flynn, to name a few. The book is divided by tabs and each tab has a 4" quilt block printed on it. Makes a terrific wallhanging with foundation piecing. The price is $10 + 2.75 S&H.

"I'd Rather Be Quilting" is published by the Ottumwa Quilters Guild in Iowa to raise funds for our charity and education projects. The guild was founded in 1980 and dedicated to promoting the art of quilting. The guild has approximately 50 members. Our charity projects include the Ronald McDonald House, the NeoNatal Unit in Iowa City, lap robes for nursing homes, Brain of Iowa project, full size quilts for our fire trucks, baby quilts for planned parenthood, & Iowa Living History Farms quilt restoration project. We fund public television, MAQS, American Quilt Study Group, Ottumwa Area Arts Council, Iowa State fair textiles division and other projects that might be related to quilting with the funds raised from this book.
